Driven to prove to the gang she is not a wet blanket Katara goes against her better judgement and agrees to pull off a scam with Toph, however it backfires and the two end up in jail. Meanwhile, “sparky sparky boom man” catches up with the gang.

Plot: The gang gets new fire nation clothes in order to blend in, but Aang is mistaken for a student and gets enrolled in a local school. He uses this opportunity to learn more about the secrets of the fire nation, but soon realizes that fire nation traditions are much different than that of the air nomads, and decides to throw a dance party in order to help the kids there lighten up. Meanwhile he bonds with a girl from his class, making Katara a bit jealous. Elsewhere, Zuko confronts Iroh in jail, but doesn’t get the response he was looking for.

Plot: Aang the the gang continue to search for Appa throughout Ba Sing Se at any cost, refusing the pay notice to any of the Dai Lee’s rules. A brain washed Jet is sent by the Dai Lee to throw them off, however, the gang catches on and frees Jet from their mind control. With his new found knowledge he leads them to a facility hidden under Lake Laogai, where he believes the Dai Lee is holding Appa. Meanwhile, Uncle Iroh’s now famous tea brew gets him and Zuko their own tea shop, and an apartment in the Upper Ring of Ba Sing Se. Iroh begs Zuko to reconsider his priorities when he finds out the Avatar is in Ba Sing Se looking for his flying bison.

Plot: Finally in Ba Sing Se, the kids are eager to inform the king of their plan to defeat the Fire Nation. However, there are complications. The King won’t meet them after they said many times about how it could stop the war. Everyone acts weird whenever they mention the war. Meanwhile, Zuko and Iroh are followed by an old foe, who is trying to prove they are from the Fire Nation. They work at a tea shop now. Jet’s friends are disappointed that he’s so obsessed in catching them and set out to make a better life for themselves.

Plot: Aang’s journey is finally the over, the long trek across the world is completed. Arriving at the North Pole, Aang, Katara and Sokka are allowed into the northern Water Tribe city, a mighty town full of interesting people, strong waterbenders, some romance for Sokka… and Paku the waterbending master, who teaches aspiring waterbenders. Naturally, he takes on Aang as one of his pupils. However, with Katara, there are problems. Apparently, the rules of the northern Water Tribe forbid women or girls to learn waterbending. Katara has traveled all the way here, only to be rejected. But in this case, what Paku says isn’t going to go.

Plot: Aang, Katara and Sokka are nearing the end of their journey to the north. Along the way, they take a detour on the Northern Air Temple, counterpart to the Southern Air Temple. Surprisingly, it isn’t uninhabitanted, but the residents are airbenders- they are a group of people, led by an eccentric inventor, who have moved up to the temple to escape the claws of the Fire Nation. At first, Aang is angry at the changes made to the great temple, but over time even he begins to like it.

Jeong Jeong, however, is worried that the impatient Aang will try to much too soon- fire, unlike the other elements, destroys if left unattended. Jeong Joeng knows this from experience.

Unfortunately, Aang, who never known Bato, feels slightly left out, and begins worrying if Katara and Sokka will ever leave him. When an urgent message from Katara and Sokka’s father arrives, Aang, fearing for his friendships, hides it. It’s not that simple, though- sparking up his conscience, Aang begins to feel guilty. This problem is complicated even further when Jun, Prince Zuko’s new bounty hunter, comes to capture Aang the Avatar.

To rescue Sokka, Aang will have to face his fears once and for all. Meanwhile, Zuko, still relentlessly pursuing Aang, faces a mutinous crew, tired of desperately chasing down the Avatar.

Through a string of events, Katara unwittingly gets Haru the earthbender imprisoned in the jail. Determined to rescue Haru, Katara sets out to topple the Fire Nation’s grip on the village.

Plot: As the day of the invasion draws near Aang begins to suffer from strong anxiety. In order to stop his nightmares he decides to stay awake until the invasion is over, however the lack of sleep causes him to lose a serious grip on reality. Meanwhile, Zuko is hurt after he finds out he wasn’t invited to an upcoming meeting about the war.

Plot: On their way to the invasion rondevu point, the gang stays with an elderly woman (who they later find out is also a native of the Southern Water Tribe) running a small “hotel” after she warns them that the woods in this town are not safe. After discovering people have been going mysteriously missing after going into the woods during a full moon the gang suspects the spirits may have a hand in it, however the truth shocks them. Meanwhile, the elderly woman teaches Katara a few waterbending techniques, one of which she does not approve of.
