Plot: Buffy goes to the aid of her new friends, but she is unable to save Jesse, who is taken hostage by the vampires. At this point, Buffy is no longer fighting her destiny and takes responsibility as the Slayer. Giles decides to let Xander and Willow in on Buffy’s little secret, since they are now involved. Buffy informs Giles about her encounter with Angel and his mention of the Harvest. Upon researching, Giles discovers that the Harvest is a feeding ritual which is supposed to open the gates of Hell. Unless Buffy and her new friends can stop it, innocent people will die, and The Master will be released from his underground prison and once again walk the Earth.
